  Very revealing comparison. I think the Witnesses teaching made a monkey out of me until my thinking evolved. When I was in high school I took the evolution book and tried to prove to my biology teacher the creationist view. I realized then that the Witnesses argument was an over simplification as the teacher's case held so much more detailed evidence, I felt a little silly.

  If the creationists are going to mess with the theory of evolution as it's taught in the public schools they need to make a much stronger case than the witnesses did back then.

  I think the religions in the United States should just leave science alone, from what I have experienced science pursues 'the truth' and the religions pursue the money. Charles Darwin wins this contest, Charles Russell looks like a nut.

  It really got out of control if someone had highlighted large portions of the New World Translation, or one of the aid books, now that was the equivelant of a P.H.D. candidate at the Tower study.

  the big to me is what about jehovah.

  after years of calling out to jah, literally, i start to wonder whether jah really helps me or rather it's just a type of mantra.

  general motors has announced they have recently installed little black recording boxes in their new vehicles to record what happens the last minutes before accidents occur.

  the data recovered has revealed that in most cases the last thing heard is : " oh shit !

  ", with the exception of those accidents in arkansas were the last thing heard is : " here , hold my beer i'm gonna try something "

  sometimes i wonder, with the number of letters that the wt receives refuting doctrine & practices, does the gb really buy what they put out?

  or are they just pushing literature and living off the collections from congregations.

  i would think that if i received overwhelming evidence of the faultiness of my religion, i'd be forced by my own conscience to change or speak up or make a difference.

  i sometimes wonder if perhaps some of the higher ups in the organization are visiting this forum.

  perhaps it has become a valuable source for them to "test the waters" before something goes public to see what the reaction would be?

  The World Trade Towers a symbol of business, The Pentagon a symbol of power, attempt on the White House a symbol of government, it's only logical the Watchtower Buildings would be next after all he hasn't gone for a symbol of bad taste yet.
